Cabin fever

The leaves are so incredible  and every year I forget about how vibrant the colors can be and they catch me by surprise.
Kari invited the gang up to her cabin last night, up in Kamas, (or a very close surrounding town).

The burgers were to die for, being with my group of friends is always a good time, the sun setting in the gold quaken aspens was stunning with the blue sky. . . but really the best part was this old crazy cabin.

Perfect little get-a-way spot, it is almost like to get-a-way from cliche way of decorating, materialistic things as well as the city and the noise and life and you can fully relax. .
They built the cabin the 70s, it is Kari's Grandma's, yet all the aunts and uncles use it.
And it is jam packed with little treasures.

Place to hang your hat. . .
Oh what? you don't have cabinets to hide the sink's pluming? don't worry just nail up a funky striped curtain.
The cups and plates are so dang cute, They remind me of Legos  I drank hot apple cider from them, and it tasted great.
That yellow holder, the drawer liner, the silverware its self. . so great, so grandma.
No TV, no cell service, just some cards and a little log cabin. .
And old family pictures lined the entire place.. . . . hello Uncle Rogger! Have you ever seen the movie "Somewhere in Time" with Christopher Reve back in his walking days?
If only. .

It has a lower loft and a higher loft, bunk-beds, big fluffy blankets, and this great stove in the center of it all that you feed logs to and it warms the entire cabin, as you fall asleep with the soft fire glow.

Makes me want to have 13 kids, learn how to make killer dutch-oven cobbler, chop down a tree, and ride a horse bareback.
What more could anyone ask for?

Looks like an awesome place to disconnect from everything and just take in the beauty of Autumn.
