Up River

We traveled by boat today, we were told it would be a five hour ride, but by the time the five hour mark hit, we looked around and as far as the eye could see, in any direction there was no sign of land.

The boat we were on looked exactly like a submarine, only it floated. . and had a little walkway around the entire thing, and if you were really cool you didn't go inside for a seat you just sat on top. . . Andie and I were on top the entire time, and now my neck is sunburned.

At one point a little wooden canoe-like boat with a motor attached pulled up right next to us and a young girl jumped off the boat and onto ours with a basket full of coke. After she had made a few sales to the hot passengers she waved to the her little boat driver, who had been following close behind, and he pulled up close enough that she jumped off and they rode away with a friendly wave.

So we sat atop the boat for hours, reading, taking pictures, and soaking up the amazing Cambodian country side, as little naked boys waved to us from the shoreline. Such a good day.
